🟥 Perhaps one of the most striking moments to discover René Magritte — at pandemic time, in Madrid.

Almost empty rooms. Silent, masked visitors. And an intimate, almost unsettling dialogue with the paintings.

Magritte’s works felt disquieting — as if they were quietly questioning us in return. And we couldn’t answer.

Reality, perception, identity… everything felt less certain, more fragile.

And in that silence, the paintings were no longer just seen — they were feared.
